The main aim of this research is to examine Ernesto Köhler’s study book “25 Romantische Etuden” Op. 66 from technical and musical perspectives to determine how well it meets the learning outcomes of the “Individual Instrument Training - Flute” course being conducted in the Music Education programs of Education Faculties. In the research, the qualitative research method of “document examination” was used, and the data were analyzed through “content analysis.” The 25 studies in the book have been analyzed and categorized in terms of fundamental technical and musical concepts found in flute literature. By comparing the course contents and outcomes of the Music Education Programs from five different universities where the learning outcomes of the “Individual Instrument Flute” course can be fully achieved, the researcher identified common and similar outcomes, creating a list of outcomes that encompasses all seven semesters of undergraduate education. Since the book is at an intermediate-advanced level, the learning outcomes for the beginner level (1st year undergraduate) have not been included in the evaluation. It has been concluded that the studies have a wide range in terms of tonality, number of measures, tempo terms, longest breath range, pitch range, tonguing techniques, dynamics, ornaments, note values, scales, and arpeggios, and that they mostly meet the outcomes of all undergraduate degrees, with a significant focus on the 2nd year undergraduate level, excluding the 1st year.
