Abstract
This study aims to examine decision fatigue, which is an increasingly important issue in the field of health services, especially in endocrine physicians. Decision fatigue is a state of cognitive exhaustion caused by repetitive decision-making processes and may negatively affect the quality of diagnosis, treatment and patient management decisions of healthcare professionals. In this cross-sectional descriptive study, the relationships between demographic characteristics and decision fatigue levels of endocrine physicians were evaluated using the Hickman Decision Fatigue Scale. From the perspective of health services management, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of endocrinologists’ decision-making processes and the development of strategies to reduce decision fatigue. The findings provide managerial and policy-oriented recommendations that are critical for increasing efficiency, ensuring patient safety and supporting physician well-being in healthcare institutions.
