There is widespread acceptance that social life must make a significant contribution to individual life in order for the individual to live within a desirable framework. In this respect, social life must be organised, improved and developed through the effort of the whole society. In a social life deprived of this quality, the result awaiting the individual will be either to experience misery in various forms or to make migration plans. In this sense, the sciences such as sociology, politics and the political institution's efforts to improve conditions are based on the desire to change the conditions in a positive direction. When the scientific and institutional endeavour turns into a total social endeavour, it is possible to reach the specified state of social order. The aforementioned endeavour encompasses contributions in a wide variety of forms that directly or indirectly affect social life. In this sense, literature also appears as an important activity in terms of the construction of a value-oriented individual type by completing the socialisation required to reach the desired state of society. A life supported by a literary content is highly valuable in moving people away from the destructive sphere of egoism and bringing them closer to solidaristic and societalist ideals that will lay the foundation for a reasonable social life. This can also bring about a healthy understanding of the integrity of individual and society by overcoming the dilemma of psychologism and sociologism. This study is directed towards analysing Mehmet Emin Yurdakul's poetry as an example reflected in Turkish Literature of the ability to instil the aforementioned social sensitivities in individuals. Yurdakul, who bears the title of national poet, has written impressive and critical poems that emphasise and question social life in terms of values. As a result of the study, emphasis was placed on the idea that Yurdakul's poems produced value as a sociologically significant analysis.
