About the Journal

Journal of Peakpoint Sport & Recreation Research (JPSRR) is an international, peer-reviewed electronic journal publishing original research articles and systematic reviews that contribute to the field of recreation.

JPSRR aims to create a scholarly platform that supports the development of recreation from theoretical, practical, and interdisciplinary perspectives, encouraging high-quality studies that investigate the multi-dimensional nature of recreational activities within individual, social, and institutional contexts.

The journal welcomes manuscripts addressing (but not limited to) the following subject areas:

  • Recreation Theory and Policies

  • Leisure Management

  • Community-Based Recreation

  • Sport–Recreation Interaction

  • Recreational Physical Activity Practices

  • Recreational Tourism

  • Outdoor & Nature-Based Recreation

  • Recreation Psychology

  • Participation, Motivation & Behavioral Studies in Recreation

  • Recreation Services, Planning & Management

  • Recreational Consumer Behavior

  • Recreation & Health

  • Urban Recreation & Public Space Use

  • Lifelong Recreation

Submissions are expected to demonstrate strong academic quality, sound methodology (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, or single-subject designs), and clear contribution to the field. Manuscripts that effectively integrate theory, policy, and practice are particularly encouraged.

Note:

  • JPSRR accepts studies related to sport only when they are directly connected to recreation.

  • Case-based titles framed as “The Case/Example of …” and studies on COVID-19 are not accepted.

Ethics:

  • An ethics committee approval is required for scientific research involving human participants.

  • All submissions must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics & Malpractice Policies; manuscripts not meeting these standards will be returned without review.

*NOTE: JPSRR DOES NOT ACCEPT STUDIES ON LOCATION (The Case/Example of ...) and COVID-19.

**NOTE: JPSRR demands the Ethics Committee Report for Scientific Research. At the same time, submitted candidate articles must be prepared in accordance with our Publication Ethics & Malpractice policies. Manuscripts that do not comply with our policies will be returned without evaluation.

JPSRR only accepts articles in Turkish and English. Authors should use only one spelling style (Turkish, British or American) in their articles.

Publication Frequency [Twice a year]: JPSRR publishes twice a year from 2024 -Exception of the Special Issues- (March and September).
