Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic locus of control control and health-related fear levels of students receiving sports education. The research group consisted of 612 students studying at Mus Alparslan University, Faculty of Sports Sciences. In addition to the personal information form, the Academic Locus of Control and Covid-19 Fear Scale were used as data collection tools. SPSS 23.0 package program was used to analyze the data. T test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Correlation test were used in the research. According to the research findings, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in the scores obtained from the participants according to gender, age, place of residence and vaccination variables. In addition, there is a statistically significant difference in the external control sub-dimension scores of the Academic Locus of Control Scale according to the variables of gender, age, vaccination status and thinking that the vaccine protects against the virus. Also, internal control sub-dimension scores, there is a statistically significant difference in terms of the variables of getting the disease and thinking that the vaccine protects against the virus. In conclusion; It has been observed that women experience more fear than men, the level of academic focus increases as age increases, and the academic focus level of students without health problems is higher.
