About the Journal

The Journal of the Academic Studies of Turkish-Islamic Civilization [TIMAD], which was first published in 2005 with its 1st and 2nd issues, is a refereed journal published twice a year.

TİMAD aims to provide an important resource in the development of the field of social sciences with the understanding of bringing together topics that will contribute to the practical and theoretical fields of social sciences:

  • TİMAD welcomes scientific contributions in the fields of social sciences such as history, sociology, philosophy, geography, archaeology, art history, behavioral sciences, educational sciences, theology, linguistics, literature, communication and fine arts, handicrafts, fashion-design and architecture. Original theoretical writings; original research articles; documents and commentaries; applications or practical writings; educational studies, criticism and evaluation articles produced in these fields can be sent to TIMAD for evaluation.
  • It is accepted that the manuscripts submitted to TIMAD have not been previously published in another publication organ or submitted to another publication organ for publication simultaneously.
  • Studies that have been presented as a paper but not published and developed can be included in the journal.
  • A maximum of 2 articles by one author can be included in one issue of TIMAD, provided that the second author changes.
  • The journal publishes scientific research articles in English or Turkish.

Publication Frequency [Twice a year]: TIMAD is published twice a year (April and October).

Visibility: It is indexed in TR Index and other databases.
