Abstract

Designers should not ignore human psychology in their designs. Outdoor spaces that are not suitable for user needs can not allow people to come there and participate in activities. The places where people are not used and the places that are not used are dead places. In order for designs to achieve success and to create living spaces, user needs must be known. For this reason, the aim of the study is to organize the spatial organization which deals with human needs while open spaces are being constructed. In this context, a model for open space design was created in the study. Model; users need spaces that enable activities to meet their needs and enable them to perform appropriate activities. In other words study have been related, the needs of the users and the activities they have carried out and the affordances in the context of spatial organization. This model will be used in outdoor design to help create successful spaces.
