Abstract

This study aims to reveal Science Teachers’ views towards outdoor education. 20 Science teacher chosen whom previously applied “Self efficacy towards outdoor nature education” scale. The individuals in the working group determined as having their self efficacy levels by six of high, eight of medium and six of low and whom working on Mersin city center and periphery State Middle Schools. Semi-structured interwiev form used as data collection tool and it has six open-ended questions. Interviews with each teacher took approximately twenty minutes and all of them were recorded. Also researcher took notes on the interview forms during each session. The data gathered though interviews were analysed with content analysis and codes and themes were defined. After defining that codes and themes, teacher views were figured, evaluated and researcher made some suggestions about them.
