Abstract

Especially the first years are of great importance when evaluated developmentally. In order to be able to talk about functional and healthy progress in all developmental areas, the necessity of proper structuring of the opportunities offered to the child in the pre-school period is a priority. One of the elements that will ensure that children's developmental levels are at the desired level is their parents' own personality patterns. The answer to this question is the extent to which life satisfaction can be explained in this pattern. In this context, the aim of this research is to examine the developmental levels of children between 0-6 years and their life satisfaction in terms of various socio-demographic variables. The study was designed according to the relational screening model and it is a sample of 201 children between 0-6 years of age and their mothers who are registered to Akçalar and Işıktepe Family Health Centers of Nilüfer District of Bursa. Data from the study were obtained from the 'Life Satisfaction Scale', 'Ankara Development Screening Inventory' and 'Denver II Developmental Screening Test'. The McNemar test, Friedman test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Multi-eyed Chi-square test, 2x2 Chi-square test and Pearson Correlation coefficient were used in the analysis phase of data analysis. As a result of there search, it is seen that there is a relation between the life satisfaction and the monthly average income situation and the perception of the mothers' spouse's interest in their children and the life satisfaction of the mothers.
