“THE RELATION BETWEEN THE KING OF NORTHUMBRIA ÆTHELRED AND ALCUIN”

Abstract

Have been looked at the Medieval European History, we meet the strong structure of Peninsula of Briatin. In this study, the King Æthelred was the kiing of the Northumbria region in Britain. He is a person or king whose people didn’t search about himself in the medieval European History. There were a little data about him in the sources. One of the data is the letter that was written by Alcuin to Æthelred. These letters had got facilities that can be accepted both praise and preaching and these letters had been sent to tthe other kings of Briatin by Alcuin. This letter was very important because of its original. In this paper, we will study to interpret by translating from Latin text to Turkish.
