Abstract

The television which has been one of the most important technological products of our age has affected many people of all ages and classes. Besides offering information related to practical life, it also have the feature of being a ‘window to the world’ providing people to have the opportunity of being familiar with different geographies, cultures, lives, etc. Like many other technological products, television can cause some problems in case it has not been used consciously and in a controlled way. One of the most important of those problems has been television’s directing children and the young to the acts of violence. In this study, there has been tried to be determined what can be done in order to reduce or prevent disadvantages of television that direct children and the young to the acts of violence.
