Abstract

In this study, in order to improve the reading skills of a primary school second grade student , the problems observed in reading and understanding were tried to be resolved by using echo and repeated reading methods. The research was made in Şeyh Şamil Primary School in Akçakent district of Kırşehir city. In this study, which was done with a subject, the pattern of “Single subject case study” of qualitative research techniques was used. During collecting the data, interviewing, observation and document analyses methods were used. A Tape recorder was used in order to have and analyze the data. Before the study, it was explained to the student, teacher and the family that the study would be recorded and the tape recording would be used for analysis. It is observed that the student has recovered from difficulties in reading and comprehension as a result of the study.
