The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of university students towards people with disabilities. The sample of the study consisted of 300 students studying in the Faculty of Sport Sciences and the Faculty of Education. “The Attitude Scale Towards Disabled People” was used to collect data in the study. According to the gender status of the students, a significant difference was found in the attitude towards disabled people in the sub-dimensions of educational environment, interpersonal relationships, work life, personal characteristics and competence independent living (p<0.05). According to the educational variable of the students’ mother and father, a significant difference was found in the attitude towards disabled people in the sub-dimensions of educational environment, interpersonal relations, working life, personal characteristics and competence independent living (p<0.05). According to the income status variable of the students, a significant difference was found in the attitude towards disabled people in the sub-dimensions of educational environment, interpersonal relations, work life, personal characteristics and competence independent living (p<0.05). No significant difference was found in the sub-dimensions of family life and personal characteristics (p>0.05). As a result, it was found that students’ attitudes towards disabled people were positive according to gender, monthly income, and educational level of mother and father. Although there was no significant difference in the attitude of students towards disabled people in terms of being disabled and study class, it can be said that the attitude is numerically positive. It is believed that disabled people should be more involved and active in society to improve the perception of disability in society.
