Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı sporcuların D vitamini düzeylerinin; spor disiplinleri, sakatlanma sıklığı ve iyileşme süresi üzerindeki etkisini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmaya 18-25 yaş arası aktif olarak spor hayatına devam eden ve spor yaşı 10 ve üzeri olan toplam 204 katılımcı katılmıştır. Katılımcılar Futbol n=34, Atletizm n=34, Ragbi n=34, Basketbol n=34, Mücadele sporları n=34 ve Fitness-Vücut geliştirme n=34 branş sporcularından oluşmuştur. Katılımcılara, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen demografik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi için kişisel bilgi formu uygulanmıştır. Demografik bilgiler aracılığıyla spor branşı, sakatlanma sıklığı ve toparlanma süresi arasındaki bir ilişki olup olmadığına bakılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonucunda; 171 sporcuda (%83,8) D vitamini eksikliği (<20ng/ml) tespit edilmiştir. Spor branşları, sakatlık öyküsü, toparlanma süresi durumuna göre istatiksel olarak anlamlı sonuçlar göstermiştir. Farklı sakatlık öykülerine sahip gruplar arasında; sakatlık geçirmeyen grubun, sakatlık geçiren gruba göre D vitamini seviyeleri açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p=0,000). Sakatlık sonrası spora dönüş sürelerine sahip gruplar arasında; 1 ay altı sürede spora dönen grubun, daha uzun sürelerde spora dönen gruplara göre D vitamini seviyeleri açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p=0,0001). Bu veriler sonucunda D vitamini düzeylerinin sporcu sağlığı üzerinde olumlu etkisinin olduğu ortaya koymuştur.
