EFFECTS of TOULMIN ARGUMENTATION MODEL ON ATTITUDES of STUDENTS TO 4TH GRADE SCIENCE COURSE

The purpose of that study is to determine the effects of Toulmin Argumentation model on attitudes of the students to science course. This study is implemented in one class of an elementary school that represent medium socio-economic status in Bandırma, Balıkesir in 2015-2016 education period. 33 students participated in study group, 17 of them are female and 16 of them are male. The study lasted 9 weeks. Argumentation model is applied on this group. This research has been prepaed according to the one group pretest-postest design. At the result of the study it is determined that Argumentation model affected attitudes of fourth-grade students on science education positively (P<.05).
